VINTAGE SAE TWO Hi-Fi System PA10 Amplifier/PA10 Pre-Amp/ T6 Tuner. As-is

A VINTAGE SAE TWO Hi-Fi System: PA10 Amplifier/PA10 Pre-Amp/ T6 Tuner.. These components recently came out of storage, so they were pretty dusty, etc!

They come with some oldercables/plugs. I cleaned them up the best I could, took off each top cover and cleaned the cabinets up, there was some stray paint dots on the tops, but I think I got most of them cleaned up! I didnt want to disturb the intricate electronics inside, Ill leave that up to the new owner! The pre-amp and tuner looked relatively clean inside because they were in a closed cabinet.

After wiping them all down, I connected everything and tested it. All of the components do seem to power up just as they should, the amp power light didnt come on, not unusual for a unit from the late-1970s! The peak lights didnt come on, not sure if they only come on when the peak capacity is reached, so not sure if these lights are operational. The amplifier speaker button lights did work, and did have the delayclick sound that seems to indicative with amps powering up, so Im assuming the amp is powering up? The pre amp and tuner light all came on.

I hooked up 2 speakers and was able to tune in some FM stations.... Im not sure if this is related to the pre amp/amp? Could be a cable issue or connection....

Or something with the internal electronics?? Because of this, I have to list this as is / for parts repair. It was working with both speakers on the MONO setting though! I can say that the tuner seems to be working fine! Remember that this system has been stored away without use for a long spell, so it may need a good cleaning/tune up, etc!

That being said, it is a pretty cool hi-fi system from the late 1970s, and probably very expensive back in the day. Besides the usual cosmetic scratches, age wear, some cover screws were missing from the side covers, and the rack handles are missing from each component, ie: the open areas on the side ends!
