This is an extremely nice. ONKYO TX-440 21 watts-per-channel stereo receiver. It is in near mint condition and looks and operates like new.
It has a beautiful champagne color face plate with a wood (not vinyl) veneer case. I don't think the veneer is the typical 70's walnut - maybe it's pecan. And the veneer is continuous - it wraps around the top - there are no seams at the corners. If you're looking for a vintage 70's receiver that will fill a medium sized room with rich sound and good looks, this is it!Check out the specs that are included in the photos. I'm asking a lot for this unit, but I don't think there's another one out there in this condition, and I'm not sure I really want to part with it.
The tuner is exceptionally good. The photos show the signal and tuning meters tuned to a station about 40 miles away using an 300 ohm "T" antenna. When I bought this unit, it had a power problem that seems to be common with these. That's the only non-original part, but it is as original as possible. Please check out the photos for further description.
