Ultrasonic Receiver (Pre-amplifier) for Thickness Gauging / Flaw Detection

  

This ultrasonic receiver (pre-amplifier) amplifies signal received from an ultrasonic transducer. It can be used together with an ultrasonic pulser ("UP200 pulser") to learn ultrasonic flaw detection or thickness gauging technology.

By using a dual element ultrasonic transducer ("probe"), one element of the transducer is connected to an ultrasonic pulser as an ultrasound transmitter. The other element of the transducer is used as an ultrasound receiver. Normally, the received echo signals are weak. The received echo signals can be amplified with this pre-amplifier to see more details with an oscilloscope. Frequency Range: 1.0 MHz to 5 MHz. Amplification Gain: -20 - 50 dB (adjustable). Input/Ouput Interface: SMA connectors with two SMA / BNC adapters.
