Scott 340B Stereo Receiver/Tuner/Preamplifier/Amplifier Tube 7591/12AX7/12AU7

For this sale is a Scott 340B tube receiver. This came from a defunct repair shop. It needs repair and restoration so I did not test with power on to protect tubes and electrolytic caps. All parts appear to be original, check pictures.

All tubes are included with four aging 7591 as two have cracked plastic bases and various smaller 9-pin or 7-pin tubes like 12AX7, 12AU7, 6AU6, etc... I checked all the transformer winding continuities with an ohmmeter and they all checked okay.

One of the knobs, the bass knob, is hard to turn and wiper seems stuck. One of the wires on the primary of the output transformer has burn mark on the cloth insulation, check picture. Luckily it did not hurt primary winding.

So this is NOT a plug and play unit and needs to be checked by a qualified technician before use. I had a 340B once and it was a great sounding receiver, very musical, so this is definitely worth restoring for future enjoyment.

Not tested, for parts only. All transformer winding continuities checked okay with an ohmmeter.
