Akai Amplifier Stereo Receiver AA-1125 vintage Excellent condition. This is a fantastic little Amplifier/receiver in full working order and excellent cosmetic condition. I have cleaned all the pots and switches inside and out and changed the lights to soft blue led's that gives it a cool warm look to go with its nice warm sound, you only have to look at the photo's and its hard to believe this is just over 40 years old!

I have been using this with my KEF CODA 7 Speakers and AR Legend Turntable and the 25 watts per channel did not disappoint. I doubt there is another amplifier the same as in good condition as this.

Comes with a printed copy of the service manual/parts list. Collection from either Herne bay or Canterbury kent. Power output: 25 watts per channel into 8 (stereo).

Frequency response: 10Hz to 70kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.3%.

Input sensitivity: 3mV (MM), 150mV (line). Signal to noise ratio: 80dB (MM), 90dB (line). Output: 150mV (line), 30mV (DIN). Speaker load impedance: 4 to 16.

Have used it together with a pair of Wharfedale Diamond speakers and an Akai 002 TT. Reviewed Oct 09th, 2017 by. I bought this receiver new in 1979 with my first student loan.

I bought an Akai cassette deck and two speakers at the time, too. But I do not remember what kind.

I sounds as good today as it did in 1979. All of the buttons still work, but the dial light no longer functions.

Over the years it took second place and third place to a couple of Marantz 2270s, and to a host of others. But the Akai 1125 was perfect for hooking up to my computers over the years.

The speakers have changed, and the computers, but the receiver is a little work horse.
